Originally from Asia, the three-leaf lemon, or Zhi qiao in Chinese, is a fruit that is relatively unknown to the general public. However, rich in benefits, it has long been used by traditional Chinese medicine for its beneficial action on intestinal transit.
TCM explains the benefits of Zhi qiao on the digestive tract by its ability to promote the flow of Qi downwards. It regulates transit, tones the sphincters and ensures the proper functioning of the intestines. In addition, Zhi qiao awakens the appetite and harmonizes the digestive system. Thus, it is an ideal solution to find a functional intestinal transit and a soothed digestive system.
