Native to North America, Witch-Hazel is a fairly common shrub that is widely cultivated in Europe.
In phytotherapy, its leaves are used for their benefits on the circulatory balance and on the tonicity of the veins. Indeed, Witch Hazel is well known to overcome venous insufficiency: its leaves strengthen the venous walls and they strengthen the tone of the veins in order to prevent their dilation. Consequently, they reduce bleeding and other discomforts caused by poor circulation.
