Learning any new discipline requires acquiring a specific vocabulary. That of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is particularly challenging for the French-speaking student or practitioner, as the concepts, terms, culture and writing system are all entirely unfamiliar.

This book grew out of notes written by a student during her own TCM studies, initially for her personal use, before the idea of publication arose.

The first part is a simple lexicon designed to make learning and understanding the basic terms used in TCM easier. The second part groups the names of the acupuncture points, first in the order in which they appear on the meridian, then alphabetically.

The aim is to make communication easier between students or practitioners using one nomenclature or the other.
