Our bond with nature
As human beings, we need trees, fresh air and nature to live in harmony. Nowadays, the bond we have with nature and its movements is becoming more and more complex.
In a world dominated by consumption, pollution and the race against time, let us not forget that nature brings us back to what really matters and that it opens us up to ourselves and to others.
Our intimate connection with the elements of nature can even influence our personality and our character. That is why we can define our personalities by one of the five elements of nature. Discover the characteristics of each element.
5 personality types
The Fire personality

The Fire personality is known for being warm, passionate and loving. It has a fundamental need to be recognised and has the ability to make things clear and shed light on situations.
What do others love about the Fire personality? It always seeks to help, comfort, reassure and encourage. In short, it has a lot of energy to offer those around it. The Fire element is linked to joy. That is why the Fire personality is known for being cheerful and likeable.
As we well know, a balanced fire warms without burning and purifies without devastating. So Fire people must take care to keep their harmony and, above all, not to overdo things, or they risk getting their wings burnt.
The Earth personality
The Earth personality is calm, stable, resilient and above all patient. Its strong point? Enduring without complaining.
Organised, Earth people like to plan and think carefully (sometimes a little too much) about every possibility before making up their minds. In traditional Chinese medicine, the Earth element is linked to the emotion of Worry, which is why this personality is prone to anxiety and stress.
As for its weak points, the Earth personality tends to be lazy. Earth people are therefore advised to stay active, or they risk sliding into deep idleness.
The Metal personality
The Metal personality is characterised by its altruism. It cares about others and has a strong sense of justice. Self-confident, it has no difficulty facing problems, giving its opinion and setting out the reality of things. Known for their courage, Metal individuals are endowed with strength and toughness, which allows them to face perilous situations and take risks.
In Chinese energetics, sadness is the emotion linked to the Metal phase. Indeed, the Metal personality tends to question itself and get lost in its thoughts, which can sometimes make it sad.
Not very diplomatic, the Metal personality must keep an eye on its readiness to pass judgement, since it can easily fall into intransigence and resentment, and must learn to rein itself in!
The Water personality
Wise and intuitive, the Water personality is endowed with subtlety, insight and relevance. It easily understands others on a deep level and excels at teaching.
What makes Water individuals special is their adaptability: they adjust very easily to new situations.
In Chinese energetics, the Water phase is linked to the emotion of fear. That is why Water individuals tend to become afraid, which gives rise to blockages that stop them from moving forward. So they need to identify their fears and stay in perpetual motion so as not to stagnate.
The Wood personality
Upright and honest, the Wood personality needs (like a tree) stability and roots. Creative, Wood individuals show a marked tendency to innovate, come up with new ideas and think outside the box. What's more, they are constantly seeking recognition.
In Chinese energetics, anger is linked to the Wood element.
In Wood-type individuals, anger shows itself as discontent, resentment and frustration. This frustration appears above all when things don't move fast enough or when the results don't match their expectations.
Wood people need a direction to follow, or they risk feeling lost.
