Lithospermum, the source of the red

Lithospermum is at the heart of what makes Baume Panacé Rouge what it is. Traditionally used in Chinese plant preparations, it naturally gives the balm its characteristic red colour, with no added colourant.

Supple texture & easy massage

Sesame oil, shea butter and yellow beeswax give the balm a supple texture that glides easily under the fingers, to accompany the massage without leaving a heavy or sticky feel.

Plant-based red, at the heart of a traditional craft

Lithospermum, known in the Chinese pharmacopoeia as Zi Cao, is traditionally used in external plant preparations. For Baume Panacé Rouge, it is worked as an oil macerate, following a traditional process of steeping plants in oil.

Together with the chilli macerate and sesame oil, lithospermum takes its place in a formula inspired by the traditional know-how of the Chinese pharmacopoeia. A plant-based approach that gives Baume Panacé Rouge its distinctive identity.
