Licorice - Gan cao

Vulgaris licorice (Gan cao) grows in the North-East of China and it is one of the lead plants of TCM.

Considered as a soft tonic, it efficiently strengthens the body because it works on the digestion process, Gan cao protects the liver and soothes the heartburns.

It also works very well on the lung airways : it lubricates them, soothes the throat and drains out mucus. It strengthens the health of the body by tonifying the Qi and by stimulating natural defenses

• Concentrated powder : two pods (3g) to be taken morning and evening outside of meals. Dilute the dose of powder in a small cup of boiling water, mix well and drink.

• Capsules : Swallow three capsules with a large glass of water morning and evening outside of meals.

Herbal tea : Place 10-15 g roots in 500 mL water. Steep for 10 minutes, bring to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes before serving.

Do not use for more than 6 weeks without medical advice. Not recommended for prolonged use

Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Keep dry and protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Food supplement reserved for adults over 18 years old. The use of this food supplement should not replace a diversified diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
