China Papyrus sedge - Xiao tong cao

The China Papyrus sedge is a shrub traditionally used to make rice paper. The TCM has been using it for centuries to remove the Dampness from the body.

Xiao tong cao in Chinese is recommended to boost miction and therefore to promotes the elimination of toxins of the body and secretions. So, by cleansing the body, this plant soothes the sensitivities of inferior limbs and enhances the comfort of the respiratory system.

Herbal tea : Add 10 g of plants to 500 mL of water, bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes over low heat before serving.
