Wild Teasel is a herbaceous plant that originated in Asia and Europe. Its root has been used by TCM for several centuries for its beneficial action on the skeleton.
Indeed, TCM attributes to Chuan xu duan an action on the Kidneys and the Liver, the systems that "govern" the bones and tendons. Its soothing and invigorating properties help to soothe the joint sensitivities and discomforts that can occur with age, while effectively strengthening the body. Thus, Wild Teasel root tones the skeleton and counteracts the symptoms of aging to promote joint well-being.
