When reserves run low
Deep-seated fatigue, a pale or dull complexion, skin and eyes that dry out, fragile nails, lighter sleep, a feeling that your resources are running out with the years or after a demanding period… In TCM, these signs may be associated with Yin and Blood deficiency, particularly of the Liver and Kidney: Blood nourishes and moistens, Yin cools and preserves, and when they are lacking, the body dries out and tires.
Yin Source is Calebasse’s own formula, built from five herbs of the Chinese pharmacopoeia. Its name states its intention: to return to the source of Yin and Blood. Around fleeceflower root (He Shou Wu), the most abundant herb, it brings together three herbs that nourish the Blood and Yin, and a small amount of ginseng for Qi.
Nourish the Blood and Yin, support the Qi
Fleeceflower root and goji berries nourish the Liver and Kidney; white peony and Chinese angelica nourish the Blood. Ginseng, in a small amount, supports the Qi: according to tradition, Qi commands the Blood, and Blood that is nourished without supporting the Qi struggles to replenish itself.
Tones up Yin: Fleeceflower root and goji berries nourish the Yin of the Liver and Kidney, the body’s deep reserves in TCM.
Nourishes Blood and Qi: White peony and Chinese angelica nourish Liver Blood; ginseng supports the Qi that accompanies it.
Supports you through periods of fatigue: By replenishing Yin, Blood and Qi together, the formula supports the return of strength when reserves have been drawn on.
