A high-plateau root to support tone and vitality
Sometimes nicknamed the « golden root », Rhodiola crenulata, known in China as Da Hua Hong Jing Tian (大花红景天), grows naturally in the high mountains of the Himalayas and the Tibetan plateau, in particularly demanding conditions marked by altitude, cold and low oxygen availability. Present for more than a thousand years in the Chinese and Tibetan traditions, it is traditionally used to tonify the Qi, support Blood circulation and preserve vitality, particularly during periods of fatigue, low energy or intense demand. In TCM, it is associated with the Lung and Heart meridians.
When the Qi runs low and the body has to keep the pace
Qi & vitality
In Chinese medicine, Rhodiola crenulata is traditionally used to tonify the Qi. It accompanies those periods when energy drops, when the body lacks momentum or when the daily pace becomes more demanding.
Blood circulation
Rhodiola crenulata is also associated with supporting Blood circulation according to TCM. It is particularly interesting when fatigue comes with a sensation of slowing down, of heaviness or of lacking drive.
Endurance & physical resistance
Particularly valued during periods of intense demand, Rhodiola crenulata accompanies the body when effort is prolonged or when energy needs increase. It thus helps support vitality and physical resistance through demanding periods.
