Cogongrass root - Bai mao gen

Although it is native to Asia, Imperatus (Bai mao gen in Chinese) is a plant that is now very widespread in Mediterranean Europe and on the American continent and appreciated for its therapeutic virtues, in particular for its beneficial action on the urinary sphere.

In traditional Chinese medicine, Bai mao gen is one of the plants that evacuate heat. Thus, it stimulates the urinary tract so as to purify the body. By promoting urination, Bai mao gen fights water retention and allows the return of urinary comfort.

Herbal tea : Place 10-15 g roots in 500 mL water. Steep for 10 minutes, bring to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes before serving.
