Common chicory - Chicorée

Common chicory is a plant that is used to make a drink as a coffee substitute. Rich in fiber and minerals, Chicory root has been used since ancient times by the Greeks and Egyptians for its draining and detoxifying properties.

Indeed, Chicory root is well known to eliminate toxins, especially those of the liver. It is therefore a digestive tonic that cleans the liver, stimulates the production of bile and sanitizes the intestinal flora. It allows the proliferation of beneficial bacteria that contribute to the proper functioning of the transit and by extension it alleviates stomach aches and discomforts related to the gastrointestinal tract.

Herbal tea : Place 10-15 g roots in 500 mL water. Steep for 10 minutes, bring to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes before serving.
