Scaphium affine, is a species of tree native to Southeast Asia. In traditional Chinese medicine, its fruit (Pang da hai in Chinese) is reputed to transform Phlegm.

Indeed, Pang da hai invigorates the Qi of the Lungs and frees the pathways. It is ideal in case of a cold snap since it helps to soothe the voice and preserve the throat.
