The Citron is a citrus fruit that strongly resembles a large bumpy lemon. First citrus fruit brought in Europe, the Citron tree, is native of China. Generally consumed candied, citron has many other advantages : TCM has used it for its benefits on digestive comfort for centuries.
Citron, or Xiang yuan in Chinese, has stimulating properties on the digestive process : it stimulates difficult digestion and soothes the resulting uncomfort (nausea, bloating ...). Low in calories, Xiang yuan is also recommended to accelerate weight loss.
