It presents the various therapeutic and preventive means. It offers the reader both the reasoning that leads to the choice of acupuncture points and the mental path for selecting drugs to arrive at a traditional formula, or hygienic-dietary prescriptions. Despite the necessary didactic progression, the essence of the book is to lead to a therapeutic understood, not merely learned.
