The Shaggy mane (Mao tou gui san in Chinese) is an edible mushroom of the Agaricaceae family.
In addition to its culinary qualities, this mushroom is well known for its ability to strengthen the immune system and to act on metabolic disorders. Thus, its use is sometimes advised to increase the effects of heavy treatments. When consumed as a supplement to an adapted diet, it favors weight loss. Moreover, it contributes to regulate the sugar level in the blood.
Macerate some mushrooms in 1L of warm water for 25 minutes until the mushrooms swell and soften. Discard the water and use the cooked mushrooms to prepare your dishes.
