Magnetic Acupuncture Hammer - Ci yuan mei zhen
磁圆梅针
A tool that combines tradition and modernity for gentle, precise, and harmonizing stimulation.
Magnetic Acupuncture Hammer
Description
Magnetic Acupuncture Hammer – A simple, natural, and non-invasive tool
This modern acupressure hammer is inspired by an ancient tool from Traditional Chinese Medicine. It combines two ends:
- a round magnetic head for gentle, relaxing pressure
- a plum-blossom magnetic head for light tapping that awakens energy
Thanks to its two surfaces, the tool allows three simple gestures: tapping, rubbing, and pressing to stimulate the meridians, activate natural circulation, release tension, and provide a deep sense of well-being.
The magnetic acupuncture hammer offers a non-invasive approach with no skin penetration. Its non-slip handle ensures an easy and comfortable grip.
Between tradition and innovation
The round needle of the Nine Needles — In TCM tradition, the Yuan Zhen was used to “press, massage, and harmonize” areas near the meridians.
The gentle magnetism integrated into the round head enhances the sensation of relaxation: the stimulation becomes deeper, more enveloping, and more effective.
Used regularly, it helps to:
- gradually release tightened areas
- warm and soften the tissues
- bring an overall feeling of harmony and lightness
Usages
Three Complementary Techniques
Percussion – Activation & Lightness
Soft tapping that restores mobility and helps lighten blockages.
- Hold the hammer at one-third of its length
- Place the other three fingers around the handle
- Keep the hammer perpendicular (90°) to the area
- Tap gently along the meridians
- Adjust the intensity according to the area
- Maintain a regular rhythm
Rubbing – Warmth & Softening
A continuous movement that warms the surface of the body and promotes natural relaxation.
- Hold the base of the handle with four fingers
- Use the index finger as support to adjust pressure
- Tilt the hammer at about 45° over the area
- Apply moderate and steady pressure
- Preferably use on oiled skin
Acupressure – Depth & Precision
A focused pressure enhanced by magnetism, ideal for gentle yet deep stimulation of energy points.
- Hold the base of the handle with four fingers
- Use the index finger as support to adjust pressure
- Keep the hammer perpendicular (90°) to the area
- Apply light pressure and make small circular movements to massage the zone
- The end of the handle may also be used for targeted acupressure
Begin with 15-minute sessions, 2 to 3 times per week.
Can be combined with moxibustion and Tuina.
Using this tool requires a solid understanding of energy points and stimulation techniques. Professional guidance is recommended for optimal use.
Warnings
Remove all metallic objects worn on your body before use.
Use with caution in individuals with blood circulation problems or heart conditions.
Do not use on people with medical devices sensitive to magnetism, such as pacemakers, metal implants, or insulin pumps.
Not recommended for pregnant women.
Avoid shocks, drops, and heat sources to preserve the magnetic effect.
During the first uses, some sensations may appear (mild fatigue, drowsiness, light-headedness): these are possible reactions related to energetic or magnetic stimulation and usually disappear shortly after stopping use.
Mild redness may appear on the tapped areas: this is related to mechanical stimulation.
If persistent itching or hypersensitivity occurs, discontinue use.
Do not use on irritated or fragile skin.
