Jujube tree fruit - Suan zao ren chao

The Jujube tree fruit, also called the Chinese date is the small fruit of a tree that grows in Central Asia. For centuries TCM has recommended the use of this fruit (Suan zao ren in Chinese) for its benefits on sleep.

Thanks to its soothing and relaxing properties, Suan zao ren (chao) calms efficiently the Mind, it reduces irritability and supports relaxation. So it promotes sleepiness and improves the quality of nights by putting an end to night awakenings

Place 10-15 g of seeds in 500 mL of water, macerate for 20 minutes, bring to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes before serving.
