Description
Congee, a kind of porridge prepared by long cooking in water, cereals (usually rice) or plants, is one of the forms of preparation most commonly used in chinese dietetics because of its many benefits on the health.
This congee composed of five plants (Xiao mi, Gou qi Zi, Lian zi, Yin mu er and Xiao zao) nourishes Yin, drives out Heat, promotes skin health and moistens the Lungs.

Ingredients
Composition
Setaria italica 27g, Lycium barbarum 5g, Nelumbo nucifera 14g, Tremella fuciformis 27g, Ziziphus jujuba 27g
Usage
Leave all the ingredients to macerate in about 5 cm of water for 1 hour. Bring the mixture to a boil then simmer for 30 to 45 minutes. Add sugar.
