Description

Long used in Asian cuisine, red yeast rice is now increasingly recognised for its effects on cholesterol.

Indeed, produced by the fermentation of a microscopic fungus on rice, red yeast rice reduces the production of cholesterol in the blood and stimulates blood circulation. Thus, Hon gu mi helps maintain normal cholesterol levels and therefore promotes cardiovascular health.

Usages

Herbal tea : Add 10 g of plants to 500 mL of water, bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes over low heat before serving.

Warnings

It is not recommended to consume red yeast rice with grapefruit because this fruit increases the level of lovastatin in the blood and runs the risk of overdose.

Likewise, it is contraindicated in patients on statin therapy, with hypercholesterolemia, hypothyroidism, muscle disorders, active liver disease or renal insufficiency.

Keep dry and protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Food supplement reserved for adults and children over 12 years old. The use of this dietary supplement should not replace a diversified diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
