Hawthorn Fruit - Shan zha

Native to Europe and Asia, Hawthorn is a shrub that is nicknamed "the plant of the heart" for its benefits on this organ. Its fruits (Shan zha in Chinese) have been used for several centuries by traditional Chinese medicine for their health benefits.

In Chinese medicine, Shan zha is said to transform Stasis and invigorate Blood. It is traditionally used for the maintenance of the arteries and to preserve the balance of the tension.**

Herbal tea : Add 10 g of fruit to 500 mL of water, bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes over low heat before serving.

• Concentrated powder : two pods (3g) to be taken morning and evening outside of meals. Dilute the dose of powder in a small cup of boiling water, mix well and drink.

• Capsules : Swallow three capsules with a large glass of water morning and evening outside of meals.
