Eleutherococcus root bark - Wu jia pi

Wu jia pi refers to the root of Eleutherococcus gracilistylus, which originates from the Far East belonging to the species of Eleutherococcus. Nowadays, it is widely spread in China, and is renowned for its numerous benefits on the body, in particular for the health of joint and bones.

The TCM acknowledges the tonifying effects of Wu jia pi on Kidneys and Liver, both systems that respectively « govern » tendons and bones ; so, this plant soothes the joint sensitivities and strengthens the bone structure. To offer a complete comfort, it works on the muscle discomforts that it can soothe thanks to its relaxing effect.

Herbal tea : Place 10-15 g roots in 500 mL water. Steep for 10 minutes, bring to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes before serving.
