Originally from Central Europe, Gentian, also called Great Gentian, is a plant that is distinguished by its yellow flowers.

In Chinese pharmacopoeia, the action of Long dan cao focuses on the Liver: it drains Heat-Dampness and calms Fire. Thus, this plant is recommended to purify the liver and to facilitate digestion.

• Concentrated powder : two pods (3g) to be taken morning and evening outside of meals. Dilute the dose of powder in a small cup of boiling water, mix well and drink.

• Capsules : Swallow three capsules with a large glass of water morning and evening outside of meals.

• Herbal tea : Place 10-15 g roots in 500 mL water. Steep for 10 minutes, bring to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes before serving.

Do not use if pregnant or breastfeeding.
