What a concentrated extract is
A whole plant, reduced to what matters
An extract is not a ground-up plant in a capsule. It is the result of a decoction, concentrated and then dried: the same principle as a traditional herbal brew, except the work is done before the bottle reaches you.

As with wine, every plant in the pharmacopoeia has its region of excellence. Every batch is tested (pesticides, heavy metals) before it enters the laboratory.

Traditional decoction, then concentration of the aqueous extract, then gentle drying. No step heats the plant beyond what a decoction already does.
